Keith Johnson, D.D.S.
Tara:
RDA, Lead Assistant
Dr. Keith Johnson has been working in the dental field for 23 years, the last 20 of which have been at Boulder Creek Dental. Originally from Menlo Park, he worked his way through the University of California Berkley, then later graduated from The University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Fransisco.
Dr. Johnson had enjoyed trips to Boulder Creek in his youth, and jumped at the opportunity to team up with Carl White, D.D.S. in early 1996. Dr. White originally started Boulder Creek Dental in 1965. Dr. J (as he is known by the locals) eventually took over the practice and continues to enjoy working in the San Lorenzo Valley with the people of Boulder Creek and surrounding areas.
He takes pride in his skills of the profession, as well as those of his friendly staff members. When Dr. J is not working on teeth, you will find him spending time with his boys and racing cars.
Tara is a San Lorenzo Valley native. She has been Dr Johnson's lead assistant since 2008.Tara studied at Bryman College in San Jose, Ca. and received her RDA licence in 1997. You will always hear a lot of laughter coming from her direction. Some of her favorite activities include spending quality time with her three grown children, visiting our beautiful local beaches, camping and traveling.
Kristel:
Dental Hygienist
Kristel has been a dental hygienist since 2001 and spent 8 years working in periodontics. She enjoys living in Boulder Creek with her husband, two kids, and their pets. Her hobbies include plant-based nutrition, essential oils, running and reading.
Liz:
DA, Receptionist
Liz is our newest team member with several years' experience in being a Certified Dental Assistant. She lives in Scotts Valley where she enjoys quality time with her husband and 3 children. You will find Liz helping assist Dr. Johnson in the back office as well as helping with daily tasks in the front office. She's been a very pleasant and upbeat addition to our team!
Kim:
Office Manager,
Financial Coordinator, RDAEF II
Kim is a Santa Cruz native who has worked in the San Lorenzo Valley for over a decade. Her and her husband own a local business here in Boulder Creek and enjoy spending their spare time with their two kids and friends bbq'ing and camping. Kim has been a Dental Assistant since 2007 and has transitioned to Front Office over the last several years. She is well versed in all aspects of the dental field and with most insurances. She is here to help with your dental needs and questions.
